I’m going to Berlin!! There was one place in my sights to visit this year and Berlin was it. Which is why I am doubly pleased to have been asked by the Inkygoodness collective to get involved in their most ambitious project yet.In April, They are heading to Berlin to present ‘Character Totem’, part of the official Pictoplasma Character Walk. Pictoplasma is ‘the world’s leading and largest celebration of contemporary character culture, with a dense, one-week program of inspiring artist presentations, conference lectures, animation festival, workshops, installations, character walk exhibitions, performances, VJ battles and all-night parties!’
With renowned peoples such as Mark Jenkins and loads more in attendance. The Inkygoodness exhibition will be uniting 50 illustrators & artists from across the UK & Europe, to create their very own customised Character Totem! I’m going along for a week to present a special event on the opening night (6th of April) to DJ and project mapped visuals in collaboration with OCD. So far the idea is to mash up the sections of the totem polls and project them on to the pillars of the gallery in time with the music. I’ll post more as this is developed further. Needless to say…. buzzing!
